Ryan Rasmussen, Executive Director

Ryan Rasmussen

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ryan is an Oshkosh native, graduated from St. Norbert College, and has seventeen years in the food and beverage industry. Ryan began his career in the food industry early on, but notably worked for Levy Restaurants at Lambeau Field.  After leaving Lambeau, Ryan began at EAA where he worked for over nine years. While there, he was able to transform a food and beverage operation and bring it to life where it thrived.  He brings extensive knowledge about Oshkosh, the food industry, how the system works, and has ideas on how to use it to benefit the organization. Since 2019, Ryan has been an advisory committee member for the FVTC culinary and hotel management department. In 2020 he was a graduate of Leadership Oshkosh, which was an amazing opportunity to learn more about the community and network with other leaders. Over the past year, he has also served on the Oshkosh Food Co-op board. In his free time, Ryan enjoys traveling, and he and his wife are foodies at heart, who love exploring new food and places to eat.

    Elizabeth Ahnert

    PROGRAM MANAGER

    Elizabeth earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at UW Oshkosh where she took interest in the inequities that exist in our food system and food insecurity. During her time at UW Oshkosh, she volunteered at the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry and at the Lionhearted Kids Run 4 Hunger where she enjoyed getting to learn more about the communities the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry serves. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys adventuring to new places and exploring the outdoors with her husband and their dogs, Jett and Cruiser.

    Margaret (Maggie) Piery

    OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Margaret (Maggie) Piery received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She has experience serving diverse populations in government, private, and non-profit sectors. Maggie has a passion for volunteering and diversity programming and currently volunteers with the local chapter of NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness). In her free time, she enjoys attending live music and community events. She will often be seen with either a cup of coffee or a camera in her hand.

    Larson Cook

    INVENTORY MANAGER

    Larson grew up in Virginia and attended the University Tennessee-Knoxville, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transportation. He has spent most of his career working with non-profit hunger relief organizations. Larson and his family moved from Madison to the Fox Valley in 2019 and enjoy exploring Northeast Wisconsin. In his spare time, Larson enjoys hiking, biking, playing computer games and volunteering with a STEM based Girl Scout troop.

  • Heath Ziebell

    VOLUNTEER MANAGER

    Heath graduated from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville and got his first taste of non-profit when he joined AmeriCorps. During this time, he served area students living in underserved communities around the city. Later, he accepted a position at Beardsley Community Farm, an urban demonstration farm where he partnered with local hunger relief organizations and other area non-profits. In his free time, he can be found reading a book, cooking a new recipe, listening to records, watching an old movie, or out somewhere hiking, biking, or camping.

Our Board

Jennifer Heim - Board Chair

Jennifer Heim joined the board in 2020. Jennifer is currently the Senior Vice President of Student Marketing at ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, and Education, a leading provider of health and education solutions for children and young adults. She joined the board because reducing food insecurity is important to her, and the pantry plays an important role supporting not only members of the local community, but other pantries as well. She is honored to be a part of that movement and looks forward to making the OACP the best it can be. During her free time, she likes to spend time in the Northwoods with her husband and two teenage children.

Rachel Hansen - Vice Chair

Rachel Hansen joined the board in 2018. Rachel is the Senior Community Engagement Specialist at Oshkosh Corp. She has a passion for connecting people to their local community and gets to do that via her professional career. Rachel serves on numerous boards, including Valley Christian School, Professional Women's Connection, West Side Association, Mercy Health Foundation and Propel Young Professionals. She is very actively engaged in the Oshkosh Community and believes fully in the work of helping others.  Rachel is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.

Karen Oram - Treasurer

Karen Oram joined the board as Treasurer in 2022.  She graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration as an Accounting major.  Karen is currently a CPA working at Phillip Tax & Accounting, Inc. since 2010.  In her role at Phillips Tax she prepares personal and business income tax returns, and provides tax planning, bookkeeping, payroll, compliance and advisory services.  Prior to joining the OACP board, Karen served as Board Treasurer for Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. from 2015 – 2021.  She found service on the board at Christine Ann to be fulfilling and is thrilled to be able to use her skills for another wonderful organization. In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband Doug and their three cats, Daft, Ron and Ollie.  She enjoys powerlifting for fun and physical fitness, loves to travel and attend music festivals, and has traveled all over the United States and as far as Belgium to go to an international world-famous music festival.

Tracy Frost - Secretary

Tracy Frost joined the board in 2019. Tracy is a lifelong resident of Oshkosh. She is pursuing a Masters of Science in Sustainability at UW Oshkosh. Tracy currently serves as the Board Secretary. In her professional life she is the Closing Manger at First Weber Realtors in Oshkosh. During Tracy’s first meeting with board President, Mike Lueder, she found the work OACP does intriguing and inspiring. From there, she attended a board meeting as a guest and was given the opportunity to see the passion that the staff and volunteers have for making a positive impact on the Oshkosh area communities they serve. From that moment, she knew she wanted to be a part of the OACP mission of striving to eliminate food insecurity.

Nick Belville - Board Member

Nick Belville joined the board in 2020. Nick is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. Nick has served the Oshkosh community the past 12 years as a Chiropractor. Nick is passionate and excited to see individuals take control of their health with holistic methods and healthy eating habits. Nick resides in the Oshkosh area with his wife Amanda and two children, Camille and Harrison. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, reading, home brewing, and playing guitar and drums.

Kyle Carignan - Board Member

Kyle Carignan joined the board in 2021. Kyle currently works as a Senior Finance Analyst for Amcor, formerly Bemis Company, in Oshkosh. Kyle graduated with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Marian University of Wisconsin in Fond du Lac. While at Marian, Kyle was a member of the Varsity Hockey and Tennis teams.

Elizabeth Coleman - Board Member

Elizabeth Coleman joined the board in 2020. Elizabeth is passionate about giving back to the Oshkosh Community and learned about the pantry while pursuing volunteer opportunities. In addition to participating on the OACP board, she is also a board member of the Propel Young Professionals of Oshkosh, where she holds the secretary position, as well as the Fox Valley Technical Foundation board. Elizabeth is the Manager of Domestic Logistics at Oshkosh Corporation. She holds a communication degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. When Elizabeth is not working or volunteering, you can find her on the ski slopes, in a kayak, or hiking with her husband Ben and their golden doodle Barley.

Hon. Bryan D. Keberlein - Board Member

Judge Keberlein joined the board in 2022 after being elected as Circuit Court Judge - Branch III in Winnebago County.  Judge Keberlein previously served his community as a Judicial Court Commissioner and as an assistant Wisconsin State Public Defender and saw the effects that addiction and mental health concerns have had on the community.  Judge Keberlein also serves on the Wisconsin Conflict Resolution Center board and chairs the Judicial Conduct Advisory Committee and Winnebago County Safe Streets committee and is a Rotarian in the Fox Cities Morning Rotary Club.  Judge Keberlein has always had a passion for giving back to the community that he grew up in.  Judge Keberlein and his wife Jennifer, a school social worker at Neenah High School, have a son and live in Neenah.  Judge Keberlein enjoys enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, skiing, hunting, fishing and coaching youth sports.

Mike Lueder - Board Member

Mike Lueder joined the board in 2018. Mike is the Director of the Center for Civic and Community Engagement at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He leads efforts to connect students and community members to nonprofit agencies who are addressing community issues. He has worked with thousands of volunteers and hundreds of nonprofit agencies on projects in the local, national, and international community. Mike has led international service trips and worked with faculty to travel with students abroad for academic and community-based work. Mike graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in Communication and from Marquette University with a Masters in Education. Mike lives in Oshkosh with his wife Jen and family. They enjoy biking, hiking, farmer’s markets and working on home renovations. 

Ava McCall - Board Member

Ava McCall joined the board in 2015. Ava is a retired faculty member from the College of Education and Human Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she taught preservice teachers methods of teaching social studies for 26 years and served as chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction for 12 years. While she was teaching, she invited the pantry director to speak to her classes about the importance of the pantry as a community resource. Ava was pleased to join the board to offer more support for the pantry’s important work in addressing food insecurity in the community. Now that Ava is retired, she and her husband have time to travel to different places around the country and world to bike on paved bike trails and enjoy the scenery of the area.

Coree Van Thiel - Board Member

Coree Van Thiel joined the board in 2022. She has a degree in Human Services Leadership, and is currently working as a Grants Manager for Ascension Wisconsin. Prior to her role in healthcare, Coree worked in the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) and saw the positive impact of the partnership between the schools and the Pantry for students and families experiencing food insecurity. She is honored to have the opportunity to continue work with the Pantry to eradicate hunger in our community.  Coree also volunteers with CASA of the Fox Cities as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Outagamie County, and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Project Search Program, a partnership between Ascension Mercy Hospital, OASD and other community organizations providing job training for students with disabilities. Coree lives in Oshkosh with her husband, three children, and German Shepherd. 

Kate Sabott - Board Member

Kate joined the board in 2024, inspired by the Pantry’s mission of reducing food insecurity in the community. She is an Oshkosh native who returned with her husband and two young children after living in Colorado for over 20 years. Her professional experience includes evaluating government programs and working in the legal and publishing fields. She studied English and Spanish at UW-La Crosse and earned a JD degree from CU-Boulder. She enjoys reading, volunteering in her son’s school and with local non-profits, and adventuring outdoors with her family.
